JV baseball falls to Williamsport.
 

The Wellsboro JV Baseball team's season came to an end with a 15-3 loss to Williamsport on Thursday, May 12.

"The kids played well all year and focused on getting better and learning new positions," said coach Shane Mascho. "We had the opportunity to see some quality teams and competed well. The future is bright, but there is work to do."

The Hornets were held hitless on the afternoon as Williamsport scored 4 runs in the first inning, 9 in the second, and 2 in the fourth for the win. Wellsboro added a run in the third from sophomore Nolan Lohr and two in the fifth from sophomores Parker Mann and Brent English.

Mann, sophomore Nic Ingerick, and freshman Taynton Repard all pitched in the game.

The loss ends the Hornets' season with a record of 3-3-1.
