The District 4 baseball matchups could feature some very familiar NTL matchups as possible second-round matchups of Sayre and Canton in Class A and Wyalusing and Towanda in Class AA could be on the horizon.

SAYRE - The Wyalusing Rams used a four-run third inning to get a 4-3 victory over Athens on Saturday to help them capture the NTL East baseball championship.

WYSOX - In a pitcher's dual Towanda's Mason Roof came out on top.

The Warriors knocked Athens out of district playoff contention with an 11-5 win in NTL East baseball action Thursday.

ATHENS - The Wildcats kept their postseason hopes alive, rallying for a 9-6 victory over Northeast Bradford in NTL East baseball action on Wednesday.

The Sullivan County Griffins swept a doubleheader from Bucktail on Saturday, winning 5-3 and 7-2 to clinch a spot in districts for the first time since 1999.

The Sayre Redskins rallied from a 2-0 deficit after one inning and scored three in the second and three more in the fourth and fifth on their way to a 10-7 victory over Canton.

WYSOX - Three times they were down to their last strike.

WYALUSING - The Rams punched out three quick runs as they defeated Canton 10-7 in eight innings to finish up a suspended game from earlier in the season Wednesday.

Troy rallied late to beat Williamson 5-2 in NTL West baseball action Monday.

CANTON - The last time Canton played Towanda, they took a lead all the way to the seventh only to have the Knights rally late and pull it out.

Troy continued their winning ways by beating Galeton 15-0 in NTL West baseball action Friday.

The Canton Warriors got a run in the fourth and two in the fifth to rally from an early deficit and defeat Williamson 3-2 on Wednesday.

SAYRE - A 10-run sixth inning by Sayre broke open a close game as the Redskins beat Mansfield 13-3 in six innings Tuesday.

EAST TROY - The Trojans got three runs in the sixth inning to break open a game that was 2-1 after five and Troy defeated Towanda, 5-1 on Monday night.
