Sayre baseball notches win over Canton.

The Sayre Redskins rallied from a 2-0 deficit after one inning and scored three in the second and three more in the fourth and fifth on their way to a 10-7 victory over Canton.

Nick Skerpon was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a run scored and three RBI and Nate Williams had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.

Alex Lyons had two hits, scored a run and had an RBI and Cody Ketter had a hit, an RBI and he scored two runs.

Joe Kozemko had a hit and Kyle Lake had a hit, an RBI and he scored two runs, while Brad Felt also scored two runs in the game.

Lyons pitched for Sayre, striking out four.

Canton got two hits from Trevor Route and he scored a run and Garrett Weseneski had two hits, a double, a run scored and an RBI.

Scott Rockwell had a double and an RBI and Ryan Ball and Connor Route each had hits, with Route getting an RBI and a stolen base and Ball scoring a run.

Ben Pepper and Brandon Kutz each scored runs and Kutz had an RBI.

Wesneski started for Canton on the mound and Rockwell, Derek Wilcox and Chase Pepper also pitched in the game, combining for four strikeouts.

Tioga 25, Watkins Glen 2

TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. - Tioga scored 10 runs in the fourth and seven more in the fifth to blow open a 4-1 game after three.

Cody Bennett had four hits, scored six runs and had an RBI and Eric Zwierlein had two hits, scored three runs and he had an RBI.

Ryan Vergason had a hit, two RBI and he scored three runs and Jake Howland had two hits, an RBI and he scored three runs.

Zach Williams had two hits, three runs scored and four RBI and Carter Jackson had a hit, scored two runs and he had two RBI, while Dakota Skinner had two hits, two RBI and three runs scored.

Jackson worked five innings on the mound and Howland and Skinner each threw an inning.

Tioga hosts Spencer Van-Etten at 1 p.m. today.

Athens 13, NEB 2, 5 innings

The Wildcats scored five runs in each the third and fourth innings on their way to a win.

Troy Stivason had a double and he scored three runs and Adam McCauley had a stolen base and scored three runs.

Mike Estes and Neil Carpenter each scored runs and Curt Moore had a 4-for-4 day with a double, a run scored and six RBI.

Craig Moore scored two runs, Trey Patton had two hits, a stolen base, a run scored and three RBI and Zack Firestine had an RBI, while Shane Bradley scored a run.

Tyler Forbes worked two perfect innings for Athens, striking out four and Craig Moore threw three innings, striking out four, walking three and allowing four hits and two earned runs.

Jamez Zajac pitched for innings for the Panthers, striking out five, walking one and allowing six hits and 11 runs, six earned. Bill Frankling worked one inning, allowing two unearned runs.

Northeast Bradford is at Canton today with a 2 p.m. start.

Sullivan County 10, Benton 5, 9 innings

The Griffins scored five runs in the ninth inning to get the victory and improve to 8-8 on the season.

Barry Heinrich had two hits, a double and he scored three runs and Lucas Hatton had an RBI and he scored two runs.

Kelby Mullen had two hits, with two runs scored and three RBI and Zach Meyer had a hit, a run scored and two RBI.

Connor Wylie had a hit and Forrest JOrdan had a hit, while Jake Gavitt had two hits and two RBI and Tim Kramer scored a run.

Jordan worked three innings, striking out two, walking one and allowing three hits and three runs, two earned. Mullen struck out four, walked one and allowed four hits and two runs, one earned, in three innings. Meyer got the win, striking out three in three perfect innings.

The Griffins play a doubleheader with Bucktail today starting at 11 a.m.

Troy 5, Mansfield 4

Troy scored four runs in the top of the first inning on three doubles by Lucas Havens, Delbert Lewis and Josh Mattoks.

Mansfield scored twice in the bottom of the first on two throwing earrors and a sacrifice bunt by Derek Burd.

Landis Zimmeran drove in Zach Roote in the third and Max Colgrove drove in a run in the bottom of the fourth for Mansfield and scored on in the bottom of the fifth on a bases loaded boule play by tthe Trojans that ended a scoring threat.

Cody Wolfe started for Troy, going 3 2/3 inning,s striking out five, walking five and allowing two hits and three unearned runs.

Lewis pitched 2 1/3 innings, walking one, striking out one and allowing two hits and two earned runs. Havens got the save allowing one hit and striking out one for Troy.

Josh Mattocks had two doubles, an RBI and a run scored and Havens and Lewis each had the double. Chad Vermilya had two hits and Root had a hit, while Havens, Justin Fitzwater, Lewis, Root and Mattocks all score runs, with Lewis and Zimmerman getting RBI.

Sam Bohnert started for Mansfield, striking out two in one inning and Bryce Zaparzynski worked two innings and Jason DeHaven worked four scoreless innings.

Zaparzynski had two hits and DeHaven, Logan Wise each had hits while Colegrove was 3-for-3.

Mansfield is at Coudersport at 11 a.m. today and Troy hosts Wellsboro on Monday night with the NTL title on the line.

Wellsboro 17, Williamson 7, 5 innings

The Green Hornets got a 3-for-3 day with a triple and four RBI from Dylan Prough and Billy Sell had two hits, while Connor Coolidge had a two-run single that ended the game.

Dylan Confer had two hits, including a two-run home run, for Williamson.

Matt Reese started for Wellsboro and worked two innings and Thomas Johnston got the win, working three innings in relief.

Josh Dilly started for Williamson.

Wellsboro is at Troy on Monday.
