2012 Troy vs. Wyalusing BaseballWYALUSING - The Troy Trojans scored four runs in the final three innings as they came away with a 5-4 victory over the Rams on Thursday night.

Delbert Lewis threw a complete game for the Trojans, striking out one, walking four and allowing seven hits and four runs, three earned.

At the plate Lewis had two hits, with a double and a run scored and Lucas Havens had a hit and an RBI.

Zach Root had two hits, Chad Vermilya had two hits, an RBI and a run scored, Tyler Hodge had two hits and scored two runs and Jarod Mattocks had a 3-for-4 day with a run scored and an RBI.

Josh Mattocks added a hit for Troy.

Wyalusing got two hits, with a run scored and an RBI from Mitchell Pickett and Chad Johnson had two hits and scored a run.

Logan Hitchcock had a double, and a run scored, Joey Champluvier and Dylan Otis had hits, Cody Pickett had an RBI and Andrew Pickett scored a run.

Andrew Pickett started for the Rams, working six innings, striking out six and walking one and Suede Reid pitched in relief, striking out none and walking two.

Wyalusing is at Galeton on Monday.

Towanda 15, CV 0, 4 innings

WYSOX - The Black Knights scored at least three runs in every inning on their way to the victory.

On the mound Sawyer Strope got his first varsity win, striking out seven, while allowing just one hit and two walks in three innings. Brandon Dinelli finished up on the mound, allowing one hit and two walks, while striking out two, in an inning of work.

At the plate Dinelli was 3-for-3 with four runs scored, three RBI and a stolen base.

"I thought we played fairly well tonight," Towanda coach Bill Sexton said. "We committed one error and we used some or our other pitching tonight and I thought both Strope and Dinelli pitched pretty well for us tonight. They threw strikes. I thought we hit the ball when it was in the zone. We capitalized on what we had our opportunities to do. We got a real big night from Brandon Dinelli tonight."

Noah Huff scored a run and Zack Ripic had a pair of hits, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base, while Cole Sexton scored a run.

Mason Roof had a hit, an RBI, two stolen bases and two runs scored and Jared Lines scored a run.

Nick Place had two hits, three RBI and a run scored and Grady Robinson had an RBI.

Matt Bartholomew scored a run and Dylan Bates scored two runs and had an RBI.

Mitchell Dent and Cameron Wattles had hits for CV and Brandon Whitesell started, striking out two in two innings and Luke Plummer struck out one in 1 1/3 innings on the mound.

Towanda hosts Wellsboro today.

Waverly 9, Newfield 3

Dylan Perry threw a complete game, striking out three, walking none and allowing five hits and three runs, one earned, in the victory.

"Dylan Perry pitched a really nice game," Waverly coach Kyle McDuffee said. "By completing this game it saves us some arms for Thomas Edison and Athens. We are playing good baseball."

At the plate Cody Marchese had a hit, a runs scored, a stolen base and two RBI and Perry scored a run.

Dylan Gutierrez had three hits and an RBI and Patric Bronson scored two runs and had an RBI.

Brighton Wood had two runs scored, a hit and an RBI and Zac Saxon and Antony Argenio each had two hits, with Saxon driving in two runs.

Canton 11, Mansfield 1, 5 innings

The Warriors got seven runs in the second inning on their way to the victory.

Canton got two runs scored from Scott Rockwell and Connor Route had a hit, two RBI and a run scored, while Emmett Watson had a hit, two RBI and two runs scored.

Wes Moore was 3-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI and Ben Pepper was 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Garrett Wesenski and Tanner Machmer each had hits, Derek Wilcox had two RBI and Josiah Barto scored a run.

Ryan Ball got the win, striking out two and walking one in four innings and Ben Pepper struck out one in one inning of work.

Mansfield got a hit and a run scored from Jason DeHaven and Skye Steiner, Logan Wise, Max Colegrove, Derek Burd and Bryce Zaparzynski all had hits.

Canton is at CV on Monday.

Wellsboro 5, Athens 3

ATHENS - Dan Saniga threw a complete game, striking out seven and walking one, while allowing six hits and three runs, just one earned, to lead the Green Hornets to the win.

Matt Reese scored a run for Wellsboro and Pat Parsons had two hits, scored two runs and stole a base.

Ben Shaw had a double and scored a run and Brian Doty had a hit and an RBI.

Thomas Johnston had a hit and Brandon Owlett stole two bases for the Green Hornets in the game.

Chris Pack, Trey Patton and Craig Moore pitched for Athens, combining for four strikeouts.

At the plate Justin Schlosser had a hit and scored a run, with a stolen base, and Adam McCauley had a double in the game.

Pack scored a run and Curt Moore had a hit and scored a run. T.J. Glisson, Mike Estes and Troy Stivason all added hits for Athens in the game.
