Troy baseball, softball pick up wins.

Troy rallied late to beat Williamson 5-2 in NTL West baseball action Monday.

The win keeps Troy tied with Wellsboro in the NTL West standings.

Williamson's Drew Fish got the scoring started with a solo home run in the second. The Warriors added another run in the third to go up 2-0.

Troy finally answered in the sixth as Tyler Hodge doubled then was brought in on a Landis Zimmerman hit. Later in the inning Justin Fitzwater knocked in two runs to put troy up 3-2.

In the top of the seventh, the Trojans continued to score as Zimmerman knocked in two runs with a single to make it a 5-2 final.

Josh Mattocks led Troy at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a run scored. Fitzwater had two hits in the game with 2-RBI.

Chad Vermilya, Hodge and Zimmerman also had hits. Zimmerman scored twice with 3-RBI while Hodge crossed home twice as well.

Cody Wolfe started and earned a no decision. He went three innings to strike out one while allowing one earned run, two walks and two hits.

Lucas Havens came on in relief and scored the win. He struck out two while allowing two hits and two walks.

Corey Gee went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Williamson. He also started on the mound, going 5 2/3-innings for the no decision. He struck out one while allowing no runs, five hits and six walks.

Jordan Confer came on and took the loss. He went 1 1/3-innings to strike out one while allowing three earned runs, four hits and three walks.

Troy left 15 runners on base in the game.

The Trojans host CV Wednesday.

Softball

Troy 13, Williamson 1, 5 innings

Hannah Jackson struck out 11 while also going 2-for-3 with a run scored and 3-RBI to lead the Trojans to an NTL West win Monday.

Also at the plate, Katie Jackson and Faith Ceely both went 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Ceely had 3-RBI while Jackson knocked in two runs.

Kayla Stephani, Kaitlyn Joerger, Tiffani Mattocks, Brooke Mattocks, Kara Schucker and Kelly Bridgham also had hits.

Stephani had 2-RBI while Bridgham and Kelsey Bristol also knocked in runs.

The Mattocks sisters scored each scored twice while Bristol, Stephani, Cecelia Morse and Bridgham also crossed home.

For Williamson McKayla Greenwalt had a triple while Jenna Hujic also had a hit. Jamie Cook scored the run.
