Canton rolls to win over Wyalusing.

2014 Canton vs. Wyalusing BaseballWYALUSING - The Canton Warriors scored 10 runs in the fourth inning Friday to open the season with a 12-0 victory over Wyalusing in five innings.

The Warriors had just four hits in the win, but drew nine walks against the Rams.

Connor Route had an RBI single and scored two runs and Kyle Landis and Chase Pepper each had hits and scored two runs each.

Garrett Wesneski had a hit and scored a run for Canton in the game. Tanner Machmer, Jarin Segar, Travis Butcher, Trevor Route and John Bowman scored runs in the game for the Warriors.

Pepper struck out four in four shutout innings, walking three and allowing two hits. Bowman struck out two, with one walk, in a no hit inning.

Kyle Tinna and Hunter Brewer had hits for Wyalusing. Tinna started on the mound and Dylan Otis pitched in relief.

Canton hosts Wellsboro on Monday.
