TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. - The Tioga baseball team scored nine runs in the first two innings on their way to an 11-2 win over Odessa-Montour in IAC action on Thursday.
Parker Hendershot got the win, working five innings on the mound, striking out nine and allowing two hits and one walk, with two runs, one earned.
Jake Howland struck out two and allowed one hit in two scoreless innings.
Peter Simmons was 4-for-4 with three doubles, three runs and three RBI.
Dakota Skinner had a hit and scored two runs and Howland scored two runs, while Ryan Vergason scored a run.
Steven Lounsbury had a hit and scored a run.
Adam Layman had a double and two RBI and Hendershot had a hit and scored two runs. Tanner Folk added a hit.
Tioga is at Newfield on Friday.
EAST TROY - The Trojans scored six runs in the fourth inning on the way to the victory on Thursday.
Jarrod Mattocks had two hits and scored a run for Troy and Collin Binford had a hit, three runs and an RBI.
Brandon Mattocks had two hits, a double, two runs and an RBI and Isaac Havens had two hits, a double, two runs and an RBI.
Kyle Jackson had two hits, two runs and an RBI and Kyle Schucker finished with two hits, a triple, two RBI and two runs.
Brock Schucker had a hit and two RBI and Mitchell Morse had two hits, three RBI and a run and Dane Smith had a run.
Jackson started, working four innings, and Morse struck out one in 1 1/3 innings. Havens pitched 1 2/3 innings to get his first varsity win, striking out one.
Brandon Owlett had three hits and a run for Wellsboro and Dylan Prough had a hit, two runs and two RBI. Dawson Prough had a double and an RBI for Wellsboro.
Brian Doty had two hits, two RBI and a run, Nick Tremper had a hit, three runs and an RBI and Joe Allen had two hits and two RBI for the Green Hornets.
Dylan Prough started, working three innings with three strikeouts. Allen struck out one in 1 2/3 innings, James Mundy worked 1/3 of an inning and Owlett pitched one inning.
Troy hosts Athens tomorrow.
