CANTON — The Warriors walked off with a 9-8 victory over Canton in NTL action on Wednesday.
"It was nice for the boys, we had some heartbreakers," Canton coach Bob Rockwell said. "We showed some resiliency to bounce back from some tough losses."
Canton scored three in the first and five more in the fourth as they led 8-3. Mansfield got five in the seventh to tie the game, before Canton got the winner.
Bryce Cole had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Brendon Landis had a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
Moore had two hits and scored the winning run in the game.
Mason Martell scored two runs and Michael Smithers had an RBI and scored a run, while Brett Wesneski scored a run.
Walker had an RBI and scored a run for Canton.
Landis struck out three in 6 1/3 innings for Canton and Martell finished out the game on the mound.
J.P. Shaw had two hits, with a home run, two RBI and two runs for Mansfield and Logan Adams had a triple.
Dylan Wesneski had a hit, an RBI and scored a run and Kipp Hillson had a hit, two RBI and two runs scored.
Brendan Hill had a hit and an RBI and Carl Dinger had a hit and an RBI.
Eli Compton and Joel Whitteker scored runs for Mansfield.
Hillson, Levi Adams and Logan Adams pitched for Mansfield, striking out four between them.
Towanda had the bases loaded, down 5-3 with no outs in the seventh on Wednesday, but Nate Chilson came in to close the door on the win.
Chilson got a pair of strikeouts, with an RBI single in between, as the Panthers held on for the win.
"I thought the kids played better tonight," Towanda coach Bill Sexton said. "They played the whole way. We had our opportunities, we just didn't get it done."
Brian Horton struck out two in five innings on the mound and Joby Leiser pitched an inning before Chilson got the save.
Nik Geiser had two hits, a run scored and two RBI for NEB and Derrick Newman had a hit and two RBI and Grant Allis had a hit.
Brayden Manchester had two hits and an RBI for Towanda and Keegan Kisner had a hit, a run and an RBI.
Lars Thomason had a hit and Brett Crispell and Luke Tama scored runs.
Ricky Smiley had a hit, Caleb Lines had a hit and an RBI and Troy Pierce had a hit and scored a run.
Manchester struck out eight in four innings and Shane Martin and Lines each pitched an inning in relief for Towanda.
Towanda is at Canton on Friday and NEB hosts Wyalusing.
Tioga had a Marathon of their own Wednesday at Tioga Central High School.
The Tigers scored 17 runs in the second inning as they went on to defeat the Marathon Olympians 30-3 in five innings.
The game was all Tioga before it turned into the top of the second inning, with the Tigers scoring eight runs in the bottom of the first.
By the time it reached the third inning, it was 27-3 Tigers.
Damon Rockwell came in relief for Tyler Whitmore, who went on to pitch three and a third innings, giving no runs, walks, or hits, and added six strikeouts.
Mitchell Taylor had a big day at the plate for the Tigers, going 4-for-5 with two runs batted, four runs scored and one double.
Parker Hendershot went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs scored and two doubles. Jake Evanek was 3-for-3 with four runs scored. Pierce Hendershot collected with four runs scored and three RBI.
Zach Blayda had two hits, four runs scored and one RBI, and Jesse Manuel had two hits, two runs scored, three RBI and one double. Nick Cotto contributed with two hits, three runs scored, one RBI and a double.
The Tigers as a team walked 10 times, and 10 of their 21 total hits came in the second inning. Tioga also continues to be undefeated, improving their record to 6-0.
Tioga's next game will be home today against Notre Dame. Game time is set is for 4:30 p.m.
Tyler Melko had a home run as the Indians got the win.
CV rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with the win as Jace Bieser scored the winning run.
Kurtis Easton had three hits, two doubles and scored three runs and Connor Calaman had two hits.
Wynn Doan had three hits and Matt Freeman had two hits, a triple and a run scored.
Corey Wells, Jace Bieser and Christian Kemp had hits and Bieser scored two runs.
Mike Wilcox had a double and Holdan Hitchcock, Soctt Eberlin, Isaac Bennett and Zach Bryun had hits for Wyalusing.
Wilcox scored two runs and Ridge Williams, Hitchcock, Bennett, Eli Bennett, Jon Morrison, Brandon Brown, Riley God and Kyle Warner scored runs for the Rams. Isaac Bennett had two RBI and Chandler Brown, Eberlin, Bryun and God all had RBI.
Calaman, Caleb Lingle and Caleb Fitzwater struck out six for CV and Isaac Bennett struck out four for Wyalusing.
Athens scored five in the fifth and four in the seventh to put the game away on Wednesday.
Cody Jennings had two hits, a double, an RBI and a run scored and Luke Newman had two hits, three RBI and a run scored.
Ryan Kennedy had a hit, two RBI and scored a run and Matt Collins had a hit and scored two runs.
Marc Felt had a hit and an RBI and Nate Kennedy had a hit and scored a run. Nate Bradley had a hit and scored a run and Joe Parshall had a hit.
Daniel Joyce had a hit and scored a run and Cody Sindoni had an RBI.
Joe Horn had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, Cory Stivason and Ethan Witherow had RBI and Justin Reagan scored two runs.
Felt struck out five and allowed three hits in six innings and Kennedy pitched one perfect inning with a strikeout.
Jake Rice, Brandon Enck and Hunter Sackett had hits for Williamson. Matt Learn, Sackett and Collin Heilbrun struck out three for Williamson.
The Wolverines led 4-0 heading to the bottom of the second, but Whitney Point scored five runs in the next three innings on their way to the win.
Mason Salsman had two hits, an RBI and a run scored and Nate Bennett had a triple, an RBI and a run scored.
Brendyn Stillman had a double and scored a run and Peyton Miller had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.
D.J. Meyers had a hit and scored a run and Gavin Bennett had a hit and an RBI, while Josh Knolles had a hit and scored a run.
Salsman struck out five in 3 2/3 innings and Tyler Croft pitched 2 1/3 innings.
Ben Cook struck out nine on the mound in the loss.
Nate Snavely had a double for the Crusaders in the loss.
