"Excellent outing by Troy Pierce, he's pitched pretty solidly all year," Towanda coach Bill Sexton said. "90 pitches for the seven innings, really the key to the whole game, if you don't walk people and don't make errors and force people to hit you are probably going to do ok. Troy was around the strike zone all night. A solid offensive outing by Tyler Bidlack tonight. All of his hits were line drives. Three of his four hits resulted in RBI, so a real solid night overall from him.
"If you do the fundamental things and you play baseball with some enthusiasm, the kids played well, had a lot of fun tonight and it ended up being a good night for us."
Towanda hosts CV on Monday and Troy hosts Mansfield at 1:30 p.m. today.
