"It's nice to win a game," Towanda coach Bill Sexton said. "After the beating we took last week, this was particularly nice to win by ten run rule. Pierce has pitched well all year, his starts have all been solid. He allowed three hits and only one out of the infield and played good defense. As a team we only had one error, Pierce made some nice plays on D. It was a dominating game for Pierce, real nice night. A few kids had really nice offensive nights, Bidlack had a nice night, Bartholomew with two hits and RBIs, and a big base hit for Shane Martin that broke the game open. I feel really good for him getting to play some baseball after his injury, especially in his senior year."

Towanda travels to Canton on Wednesday.
