Towanda rallies for win over Athens.

ATHENS - With the game tied at six in the top of the seventh inning Athens chooose to walk Casey Huff in order to face Brandon Dinelli.
Dinelli quickly made them pay, looping a single to center to score Dylan Bates and when Zack Ripic followed with a double to the fence, the Black Knights went on to get the 9-6 victory.
"We came from behing three times," Towanda coach Bill Sexton said. "It was nice to be able to do that. It's nice to play from in front, but I'll take it. The kids showed character, not panicking in those situations. 13 hits speaks for itself. We hit well tonight. We got a couple of big hits out of Brandon Dinelli and Dylan Bates, who had a big double to get us going in the seventh with two outs. It was a big night for Grady Robinson and Nick Place hit the ball well with two RBI for us. We really hit up and down the order, it was a pretty solid offensive night for us."
In the seventh Bates started things with the double and after the walk to Huff put runners on first and second before Dinelli and Ripic delivered.
Athens had tied the game in the sixth as Trent Patton stared with a single and Nick Bradley reached on a fielder's choice. Shawn Bradley came into trun for Athens and he moved to second on a passed ball and scored on a single by Chris Pack.
Athens had taken a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but Towanda had fought back with three in the top of the third to take a 3-1 advantage.
A four-run third for Athens helped the Wildcats take a 5-3 lead, but Towanda got three more in the top of the fourth to go back on top.
Huff had a hit and scored a run in the game and Dinelli had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Ripic had a hit, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base and Mason Roof had a hit and scored a run.
Austin Markel had a double and scored two runs, with two RBI, while Nick Place had a double and two RBI. Grady Robinson was 3-for-4 with an RBI and Sawyer Strope had an RBI, while Bates had two hits, with the double, and a run scored.
Roof went all seven innings on the mound, striking out five, walking five and allowing seven hits and six runs, just one earned.
Craig Moore started for Athens, working 3 2/3 innings, striking out one, walking three and allowing 10 hits and six runs, all earned, while hitting one batter. Pack went 3 1/3 innings, striking out one, walking three and allowing three hits and three runs, all earned.
Pack had a hit, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base and Troy Stivason had two hits and a run scored, while Adam McCauley had a hit and a run scored.
Craig Moore had a run scored and Curt Moore had a homre run, two RBI and a run scored.
T.J. Glisson had a hit and Patton had a hit, while Shawn Bradley scored the one run.
Towanda is at NEB on Friday.
SAYRE - The Rams scored five first-inning runs on their way to the victory on Wednesday.
A double by Logan Hitcock started the two-out outburst and four walks, singles by Cody and Mitchell Pickett and an error helped the Rams have the big inning.
Andrew Pickett had two hits, two RBI, two runs scored and a double and Hitchcock had the double and a run scored. Kye Novak had a hit and a stolen base and Shane Salsman sored a run in the game.
Joey Champluvier had a hit and scored three runs and Dominic Ciccolini had a hit and scored a run, with two RBI, while Cody and Mitchell Pickett each had hits.
Cody Pickett and Salsman pitched for the Rams, combining for seven strikeouts.
Sayre got a home run and a double, with three RBI and a run scored from Jared Donovan and Alex Lyons had a double and ann RBI, while Nick Skerpon had a hit, an RBI and three runs scored. Cody Ketter scored a run and Joe Kozemko had a hit.
Tyler Williams pitched for Sayre, striking out seven.
The Tigers got a 3-for-3 day from Derek Burd with three runs scored, a double and two RBI, while Ben Wilson had a double and three RBI.
Sam Rotella had a double and Skye Steiner and Matt Delosa had hits in the game for Mansfield.
Dan Hatch had a double for Galeton.
Bryce Zaparzynski pitched for Mansfield and struck out three, while walking two. Chad Shumaker started for Galeton.
Mansfield hosts Williamson on Friday.
