It was a game that neither Zane Vargason, or the Athens Wildcats, will soon forget.
Athens picked up a 26-5 win over Mansfield in NTL baseball action on Monday night, with Vargason going 4-for-4 with 10 RBI.
Vargason drove in six runs in the third inning alone and had a double and a triple in the game.
Vargason had a walk and scored a run in the first. He had an RBI single in the second inning. In the third Vargason had a three-run triple and added a three-run single as he drove in six innings in the one inning. Vargason added a three-run double in the fourth.
After scoring two runs in the first and four in the second Athens exploded for 13 in the third and seven in the fourth inning.
Nick Vosburg had two hits, with two runs scored and two RBI and Sam Perri had a hit, four RBI and two runs scored.
Luke Newman had a 3-for-4 day wiht a triple, three RBI and two runs scored.
Tyler Forbes had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored, with a double, and Marc Felt scored a run.
Cody Jennings had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI and Joe Horn had a hit and an RBI.
Ben Burbert had a hit and scored three runs and Justin Reagan and Ryan Kennedy each scored two runs, with Reagan driving in a run. Tyler Secules scored two runs in the game.
Perri struck out none and allowed four hits in three innings and Felt struck out two in one inning of relief.
Jarrod Burd had a hit, an RBI and a run scored for Mansfield and Bryce Zaparzynski had a hit.
Kipp Hillson had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Carl Dinger and Ryan Campbell had hits.
J.P. Shaw started on the mound as Mansfield had five pitchers, combining to strike out three, in the game.
WYSOX - Three Troy pitchers combined on a one-hitter on Monday night. Kyle Jackson, Chance Lantz and Isaac Havens pitched for the Trojans, striking out five in the game.
Brandon Mattocks had a pair of hits for Troy, scoring three runs and driving in one and Jarod Mattocks had a hit, a run and an RBI.
Kyle Jackson had a pair of hits, an RBI and two runs scored and Isaac Havens had a hit.
Kyle Schucker had a hit, a run and an RBI and Brock Schucker had a hit, while Dane Smith had a hit and scored a run and Collin Binford had two hits, a double and two runs scored.
Nick Place had Towanda's hit.
Ethan Barto worked three innings for Towanda, striking out one and allowing four hits, taking the loss. Braydon Manchester struck out two in 2 1/3 innings and Troy Pierce pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing no hits, one walk and striking out one.

The Redksins scored five runs in the fifth and sixth innings to rally from an 8-6 deficit to get the win on Monday.

TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. - Peter Simmons picked up his 20th career varsity win for the Tigers, striking out 12 and walking three, while allowing three hits and hitting one batter.
Tioga scored four runs in the third and rfive in the sixth to get the win.
Parker Hendershot had two hits, two RBI and scored two runs and Mitchell Taylor had two hits and scored two runs.
Gabe Hoose had a hit and scored a run and Lucas Richardson had a hit.

Dawson Prough had two hits, four RBI and three runs scored for Wellsboro and Nick Tremper had two hits, with a double, three runs scored and three RBI.
