JV Hornets Top Mansfield, 13-7

Wellsboro picked up a 13-7 win over rival North Penn-Mansfield in JV Baseball action on Friday afternoon.
The Hornets scored twice in the 1st inning, added 3 in the 3rd, 4 in the 4th, one in the 5th and 3 in the 6th.
Sophomore Drayden McGee led the team with 3 hits while scoring 2 runs, freshman Coen Tennis had 2 hits and scored 4 runs, freshman Max Mascho had two hits with a double and scored a run, and freshman Nathan Love had 2 hits and scored a run. Sophomore Noah Zengerle, sophomore Cameron Owlett, sophomore Dylan Copp, and freshman Braxton Kerr all had single hits with junior Dustin Owlett hitting a double.
Junior Alec Magli threw three innings on the mound with 5 strikeouts, freshman Izaya Campbell struck out 4 in 3 innings, and freshman Syler Pietrzyk threw one inning, striking out 1.
Wellsboro (1-0) hosts a double header with Wyalusing on Monday.
