JV Hornets Drop 2-1 Game To Mansfield

Wellsboro's JV Baseball team dropped their final game of the season to rival North Penn-Mansfield by the score of 2-1 Thursday.

North Penn-Mansfield struck first with a run in the 1st then added another in the top of the 3rd to take a 2-0 lead. Wellsboro, who had just two hits on the day, scored their lone run in the bottom half of the inning as freshman Maddon Mascho drove in freshman Landon Owlett. Mascho and sophomore Wyatt Sporer had the two hits.

Senior Jacob Heckman suffered the loss on the mound, scattering 3 hits with a walk and 4 strikeouts in 5 innings of work.

Wellsboro finishes the season with a 2-6 record.
